Compatibility Notes (I-Pod™)
The 'compatability' notes module allows you to add a relationship with notes, to the relationship between the product & the vehicle... Lets take a second to explain that. In the administration section you learned about 'mappings'. The mapping is the relationship between products & the vehicles they are known to be compatable with. Companies that sell I-Pods™ and other radio adapter kits have, over time, collected "notes" about "exceptions" to these mappings. That may still sound confusing, so let's explain that with a real world example.
If you sell I-Pods™ & I-Pod™ adapters for vehicles, you might sell an adapter called the XYZ adapter. You may have been supplied a list of vehicles that the adapter allegedly works with. Over time your customers write back to tell you "the XYZ adapter did work with my 2002 Chevy Tahoe, but there was an isue doing.... {whatever}". That customer may demand a refund or partial refund. To avoid the situation in the future you need to effectively communicate this possible compatibility hindrance to the customer. The notes module allows you to do just that!
